WCHAR has now replaced the previous HD 42/05 NMU Audit Standard
TMS are unable to offer a Lead Assessor role to satisfy the requirements of the new “HD 42/17 Walking, Cycling & Horse Riding Assessment and Review” document, which has replaced the previous HD 42/05 NMU Audit Standard.
The reason for this being the requirements of the new standard (WCHAR) are very onerous, and as a small company, we do not have the resources to fully commit to the requirements of the standard.
However, TMS could carry out a bespoke Mobility and Accessibility audit on the immediate scheme, to assess the requirements for pedestrians and cyclists. This would not be in accordance with HD 42/17, but the report should help to identify if improvements are needed to improve access for vulnerable road users.
