Overview

A 2-day course designed to provide an understanding of the principles and practice of designing roundabouts.  This course is aimed at a broad range of professionals who are involved in designing or assessing the adequacy of junctions. The course consists of informal short lectures, practical workshop and discussion sessions, case studies and examples. 

Aims and Objectives

  • To assist delegates to understand the issues involved in designing and constructing roundabouts or carrying out improvements
  • To  provide delegates with the knowledge, skills and understanding to carry out their professional roles
  • To provide the opportunity for delegates to network and discuss local roundabout design process
  • To provide advice to delegates on their own projects and improve their design and implementation skills

  • Road safety issues

Certification

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT
