Introduction to Road Safety Audit (Ireland)

This course is recognised by the National Roads Authority as part of the qualification for undertaking Road Safety Audits as a Team Member in Ireland


A 3-day Module designed to give a comprehensive introduction to Road Safety Auditing.  Delegates will undertake a number of road safety audits in small groups and receive feedback on the issues raised.  After attending, delegates should be able to undertake Road Safety Audits more objectively and confidently.

This module is aimed at those professionals who are expected to carry out audits as Team Members, those who commission audits, at designers whose work is audited and at those who manage the Safety Audit process.

TMS has carried out over 11,000 Road Safety Audits in the UK and Ireland.  We have produced safety audit procedures for Dublin City Council and the National Roads Authority

Aims & Objectives

  • to give delegates "hands-on" experience of carrying out Road Safety Audits of a number of different scheme types

As this day involves a site visit all delegates are required to wear a reflective jacket


Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by Transport Infrastructure IRELAND, the IHE and CIHT.
