Attending this two-day course will provide engineers entering the field of highway design with an understanding of the principles behind designing the most common forms of junction control used on public roads.
It is also aimed at those who are involved in development regulation in order to assist them in assessing the adequacy of proposed junction types and layouts.
The aims and objectives of this course are for delegates to gain working knowledge of design guidance and to understand how to apply the guidance in a variety of situations. Delegates will also be able to design and appraise priority junctions, roundabouts and mini-roundabouts and to understand how design factors affect capacity and safety.
Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.
