Harminder Aulak

Hammy is Technical Director of Engineering Services at TMS and is involved in Collision Investigation and Prevention Studies, Road Safety Auditing, Highway Risk Assessments, Pedestrian Accessibility/Cycle audits and offering road safety advice to overseas Clients. 
Harminder joined TMS in 2001 as a Senior Road Safety Engineer.  Prior to joining TMS, Harminder worked as a Senior Officer for Warwickshire County Council in the Traffic Management Group and has considerable knowledge of working at Local Government level. 
At both TMS and Warwickshire County Council, Harminder has gained wide experience in all aspects of road safety engineering and traffic management.  He has over 31 years’ experience in the field and has carried out work in various disciplines, including road safety audit, safety assessments, risk assessments, vulnerable road user reviews, accident investigation studies and junction design. 
At TMS, Harminder has carried out over 5,000 road safety audits, with many of these on major road schemes, such as new motorways, dual carriageways, grade separated junctions, road tunnel schemes and light rail projects. The majority of these have been international projects in Ireland, The Netherlands and Qatar. Harminder also has experience in carrying out road safety projects in various other countries, including Belgium, Norway, Italy, Spain, United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan. Clients for such projects have included National and Regional Government, Petrochemical companies, Consumer Organisations and Transport Interest Groups. 
Harminder manages the road safety engineering team at TMS and is responsible for mentoring other employees and ensuring all work is carried out on time and to a high standard. 
Outside of work, Harminder is a keen cyclist and has carried out long distance charity rides in the UK and France. He is also a keen footballer and plays 5-a-side.
