Course Overview
The content of this version of the course is adapted from the full 10-day RoSPA Road Safety Engineering course, structured as follows:
Part 1 – Road Safety Engineering and Practice (30 hours)
Part 2 – Collision Investigation Study (30 hours)
You will have access to the online course material for 60 days, which is the timeframe the course must be completed within. You can choose to start this from any date that suits and have the flexibility to work through everything at your own pace, but you will need to average at least one hour per day.
This course is suitable for those who require a solid, comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice of road collision/accident investigation and prevention. This course is designed for engineers and technicians working in local authorities, consultancies, executive agencies and the Department of Transport. It is also suitable for road safety officers, police and armed forces personnel and other professionals concerned with road safety.
Completion of the course and case study report provides the 10-days formal training specified in GG 119 by National Highways for Road Safety Auditors. Road Safety Audits can only be undertaken on trunk roads and motorways by suitably trained and experienced staff.
Aims and Objectives
The course provides delegates with the knowledge, skills, competency and confidence to undertake road collision/accident investigations in a more convenient format that doesn’t require any time away from the office.
Certification
All delegates completing this course and report will receive a RoSPA CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT. This certificate will comply with existing National Highways training requirements for ten days formal training for Road Safety Audit as stated in GG 119.
Delegates not completing the report to an adequate standard will receive a certificate relating to the number of training days fully completed.
Course Fee
The fee for this course is £2,300 + VAT per person. Please note that we will not be able to set anyone up with access to the course prior to receiving payment.
