TMS has recently completed a major collision study for the City of London. This has involved four TMS Engineers reviewing the collision history at 53 sites (which have included junctions and links) within the City boundary.
The project involved carrying out in depth analysis of three years of collision data using software tools, visiting the sites to observe road user behaviour and assess the technical aspects of the highway and developing measures to reduce collisions. Accident saving and economic calculations were also carried out as part of the study to help prioritise sites for treatment.
Harminder Aulak, a Technical Director at TMS Consultancy said: “It was a pleasure working for a high profile client such as the City of London. Even though the timeframe for the project was challenging, TMS completed the study on time and the Client was very pleased with the output and quality of the work.”
