Bus Stop Design, Location & Road Safety

Course Overview

A one-day course which examines road safety issues that need to be considered in the design and location of bus stops. This module is aimed at road safety and traffic management professionals seeking to learn or improve their skills in the assessment of the provision and location of bus stops. The course consists of informal short lectures, practical workshops and discussion sessions and case studies.

Aims and Objectives

The aim of the course is to examine road safety aspects of the design and location of bus stops and how to resolve conflicts. The course gives delegates confidence in dealing with requests for new or re-positioned bus stops.

Certification

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.
