Course Overview
A five-day course intended for both newly appointed and existing police traffic management officers. It provides the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfil many of the functions of the role and provides an opportunity for delegates to demonstrate their competency.

Aims and Objectives
This course is designed to fulfil the initial training requirements of police traffic management officers by providing an overview of traffic management concepts and principles, with more detailed coverage of those areas most commonly coming within the scope of the Police TMO role. The course will:
- Identify the legal and procedural requirements and limitations of the role of the Police TMO.
- Identify the correct sources of information relating to the main aspects of the role of Police TMO.
- Advise and direct police colleagues and other applicants in matters relating to traffic management, road safety and highway engineering.
Certification
Delegates completing this course and passing all the assessments will receive a Certificate of Training, accredited by LANTRA Awards.

The fee for this course is £1,500 + VAT per person, which includes all costs (course notes, certification etc.).
