Walking Route to School Assessments

Course Overview

A 2-day course providing an introduction to road safety risk assessment techniques and their application to Walking Routes to School, School Crossing Patrols, & Child Pedestrian Training sites.

Aims and Objectives

The course will provide an overview of the process of risk assessment, and demonstrate the applicability of risk assessment techniques to road safety activities and to WRTS, SCP, & CPT sites in particular.

We will also review current national guidance and compare this with the local policies that are currently in place.

Certification

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.

In-House Training

Please note this is only available as an in-house training course, as it needs to be tailored to an authority’s existing policies and procedures. We will also include a site visit of a local route/routes where possible, which will need to be discussed and arranged in advance with our course instructor.

The maximum number of delegates we can train on this course is limited to 16. To receive a quotation, please complete a request below.
