Highway Safety Inspectors' Training
The IHE administers the UK Highway Inspectors training and certification scheme approved by the UK Roads Board in 2010. It established the Highway Inspectors Board in 2011.
Candidates who successfully complete the courses run by an approved centre are eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Highway Inspectors for a period of five years.
After these five years have lapsed, a refresher course will need to be completed to allow Highway Inspectors to remain on the register.
TMS has been approved as a centre to provide the following training courses.
Highway Inspectors' Training
Highway Safety Inspectors' Modular Training
The full four-day course for both new and experienced inspectors who have not previously attended any training.
Highway Inspectors' Refresher
A two-day refresher for inspectors who have completed the initial course within the last five years.
Road Safety Inspectors' Modular Training
A variation of our Highway Inspectors’ Training course, adapted for delivery in Scotland.
